Sales Account Executive

In this hunter role, you’ll get to showcase your sales talents by building strategic partnerships and driving self-sourced, direct deals. You’ll own the full sales cycle – from prospecting and relationship-building to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on MakeShift’s GTM plan to build pipeline and close deals through SAP's partner channel, other key channel partners, and self-sourced opportunities.

  • Handle the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing for both partner-sourced and self-sourced opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with partner account executives and partner managers to identify, qualify and pursue opportunities

  • Proactively hunt for new business through outbound prospecting and your own sales motions.

  • Provide training and enablement to partner sales teams on company products, value proposition and sales strategies.

  • Participate in setting and achieving quarterly bookings and revenue targets from partner channel sales and direct sales

  • Work with marketing to generate demand through co-marketing activities with partners

  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management for partner and self-sourced deals

  • Ensure an exceptional experience for partners, direct customers and prospects.

  • Track and document all interaction in CRM.

  • Stays current on all market and competitive developments.

  • Become a subject matter expert on scheduling for our targeted industries.

Requirements

  • Grit, initiative, and perseverance.

  • 7+ years of quota carrying experience, with at least 3 years in a partner/channel role.

  • Proven ability to self-source and close direct enterprise deals in addition to partnered deals.

  • Prior experience managing a strategic SAP partnership is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills and hunger to uncover new opportunities.

  • Self-motivated with consultative problem-solving abilities.

  • Willingness to travel periodically to partner/customer/prospect locations.

  • Experience with sales pursuit management, lead generation, deal qualification, and deal shaping.

  • Experience in running full sales cycle in complex environments.
